Designing with Communities
I have a decade of experience in socially engaged artistic practices and community program coordination. I specialise in working with communities to co-create and produce meaningful and engaging projects. Inclusive practice is at the core of my approach. I actively engage with the audiences of the organisations I work with to shape and enhance the work we make. Over the years I have had the privilege of supporting the development of many unique community arts projects with: Heart n Soul, Southbank Centre, Sounds Like Chaos, Attitude is Everything, Tate, Battersea Arts Centre, Wellcome Collection, V22, and Submit to Love.
As an experienced workshop facilitator with a PGCE in higher education teaching, I’ve explored informal education and alternative pedagogies throughout my career. Underpinned by own experiences with formal education which didn’t accommodate my learning style or accurately reflect my abilities. I am interested in creating new spaces where people can come together to create, learn, share ideas, and feel valued beyond the confines of mainstream education.
