THE BEAUTIFUL OCTOPUS CLUB

2012-2018

Founded by Heart n Soul in 1995, The Beautiful Octopus Club stands as London’s longest-running inclusive club night, celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere and commitment to accessibility. This annual event takes place at the iconic Southbank Centre, where individuals of all abilities come together to enjoy a night of music, dance, and community.

For six years, I had the privilege of designing the space, marketing materials, and signage for the club at the Southbank Centre. My role involved creating an inviting and dynamic environment that reflected the spirit of inclusivity and joy that The Beautiful Octopus Club embodies. This included thoughtful layouts that encouraged social interaction, as well as eye-catching signage that enhanced navigation and accessibility throughout the venue.

In addition to the physical design, I developed marketing materials that captured the essence of the club, showcasing its unique offerings and welcoming atmosphere to a diverse audience. This experience not only allowed me to contribute to a beloved event in London’s cultural landscape but also deepened my understanding of the importance of inclusive design in fostering community engagement and celebrating diversity.
